What kind of art does a Jewish, gay, Israeli-German make?

I studied undergraduate and postgraduate fine art, photography and art history in Israel and in the Netherlands.

I use my multiple identities as building blocks and layers in my work.

I often employ powerful cultural symbols and apply them at face-value as an expressive tool. I refer to and deal with sex, beauty, ugliness and other forces in (my) life. The personal, the political, the good and the bad are all mixed together to attain new levels of awareness and expression.

I believe that art must sometimes shake us out of our complacency to reveal truths we are unaware of or choose to avoid.
